We look ahead to the action in the Second Round of the Capital One Cup
The Second Round of the Capital One Cup gets under way on Wednesday 27th August with 30 matches, before a further five games the following day.
After the drama in the opening round of fixtures in the 2014/15 competition – in which 110 goals were scored over 35 games - Round 2 has big boots to fill.
In the First Round, Aston Villa, Leyton Orient, Birmingham, Sunderland, Bradford, Leeds, Burton, QPR, Stoke, Portsmouth all overcame higher-league opposition, to earn ties against Sky Bet Championship and Premier League sides.
Portsmouth, Burton, Birmingham and Sunderland are the four teams from Sky Bet League 2 who will take on top-flight opponents in a bid to cause yet more drama and upsets. For Burton, it will be the first time they have played Queens Park Rangers.
